She’s been known to participate in environmental protests in the past, and today (August 30) Daryl Hannah was at it again.
The “Splash” actress was spotted outside the White House in Washington DC speaking against the still-unbuilt Keystone XL Oil Pipeline along with dozens of other demonstrators.
And after being asked three times to move by the Park Police, Daryl was placed under arrest and taken into police custody.
Prior to her incarceration, Hannah told press, ''Sometimes it's necessary to sacrifice your freedom for a greater freedom. And we want to be free from the horrible death and destruction that fossil fuels cause, and have a clean energy future.''
