Donna Summer died this morning after a battle with cancer. She was 63.
The singer was in Florida at the time of her death, according to reports.
Known as the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer was said to be trying to keep the extent of her illness under wraps. Just a few weeks ago, people close to her say she was focused on trying to finish up an album she had been working on.
Summer was a five-time Grammy winner who rose to fame with hits - "Last Dance," "Hot Stuff" and "Bad Girls" - that were synonymous with the 1970s.
Donna and her producer Giorgio Moroder defined the dance music era of the '70s, influencing acts like Duran Duran, David Bowie and many others.
Summer married Brooklyn Dreams singer Bruce Sudano in 1980. The couple had two daughters together. R.I.P. to one of the greats.
Carrie Underwood's a "Good Girl" on "Dancing With the Stars"
Out promoting her newest album Blown Away, Carrie Underwood was spotted leaving the CBS Studio building in Toronto, Canada this afternoon (May 16).
The country diva looked gorgeous in a black blazer with cutoff denim shorts and black booties as she strutted her stuff with a SmartWater in hand.
In other career news, the 29-year-old performer sang an awesome rendition of her newest single “Good Girl” on the finale of “Dancing with the Stars” Tuesday night (May 15).
After the song, “DWTS” host Tom Bergeron plugged the blonde beauty’s upcoming performance Sunday on the "Billboard Music Awards," at 7 p.m. on ABC. Earlier this month, she performed her single on Fox's "American Idol."
Brooklyn Decker Talks Horse Name, Family Aspirations
She has two new films, "Battleship" and "What to Expect When You’re Expecting", due out on May 18th and, as part of her promotional blitz, Brooklyn Decker landed herself a feature in the June 2012 issue of Vanity Fair magazine.
The 25-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit beauty donned designer dresses from the likes of Bottega Veneta and Proenza SAchouler for the Miguel Reveriego shot spread while dishing about everything from where she got her name to family aspirations with tennis pro hubby Andy Roddick.

On her long-term plans with husband Andy Roddick: “I think that I’d like to try to be a superwoman and have kids and work, so we’ll see if I can actually accomplish that. But, if we’re talking dream scenario, that would probably be it.”
On not being in demand when she first started modeling: “There were countless jobs I didn’t get because of my figure. I wasn’t that successful as a model, ever. I just had a few clients that really embraced my curves.”
On walking away from modeling at the height of her career: “The Sports Illustrated cover was the last thing I shot. That week, I told my agent, ‘You know what, I really ...I don’t want to be a model anymore. I really want to do movies.’ And I think he wanted to wring my neck at the moment.”
Lea Michele & Cory Monteith Pre-Glee Finale Affection in NYC
Having just wrapped up filming their hit show's third season, co-star couple Lea Michele and Cory Monteith headed east as they were spotted together in New York City on Wednesday (May 16).
The "Glee" duo lovingly held hands as they wandered about the streets of Manhattan while popping into a few stores during the midweek shopping excursion.
As for Lea and Cory's series' upcoming finale episode - the season closer will focus on the graduating seniors and what kind of plans are ahead of them after they leave William McKinley High School.
Monteith, who plays one of the departing students, told Entertainment Tonight, " We're all really enjoying every single moment of what we're doing because it's not going to be like this again."
Meanwhile, fellow castmate Jenna Ushkowitz added similar sentiments, saying, "I know that we'll see the choir room again, but it's definitely going to be a different vibe, a different energy."

On his disappointment about not receiving an Oscar nomination for Shame: “At the beginning people [say], ‘You’re going to be going to the Oscars,’ and you’re like, ‘Whatever, doesn’t matter, don’t think so.’ But after a while it does penetrate. After a while you’re like, ‘Anyway, so I’m going to the Oscars…’ ” He laughs. “And you start to believe it. And I did. I thought I was going. And then I found out I wasn’t and I was upset. I was very upset by it. The first reaction was ‘What the fuck…?’ ” He sounds frustrated that he had let himself get sucked in. “It’s a vanity thing. It does become important to you. And it shouldn’t.” On reflection, he decided that he had learned something about misplaced priorities. “A good little lesson.”
On his Shame co-star (and rumored girlfriend), Nicole Beharie: “I’m seeing Nicole, we’re trying to see each other as often as possible,” he acknowledges. “That’s kind of difficult when she lives [in New York] and I live in England.” He says they got together during the film’s promotion. “Nothing happened while we were filming. We started talking more on the promotion thing. So, yeah, it just sort of unfolded like that.”

'What to Expect When You're Expecting' Holds Star-Studded L.A. Premiere
The beautiful cast of “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” hit the red carpet on Monday night (May 14) for its first premiere in Los Angeles, CA.

Showing anticipating fans a deeper look into the superhero film, Sony Pictures released a 4-minute preview of “The Amazing Spider-Man” online following its debut during the season premiere of “America’s Got Talent” this evening (May 14).
The extended clip features an intense scene set on the Brooklyn Bridge showing Peter Parker, played by Andrew Garfield, saving a little boy from a burning vehicle. It also features a kiss between Emma Stone and her sexy co-star.
“Spider-Man” is the story of Parker, “an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field).” He and his high school crush Gwen Stacy (Stone) “struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance.”
It also stars Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott and Irrfan Khan and is set to hit theaters on July 3.

It seems Serena Williams has a few hidden talents off the tennis court, and one of those talents just surfaced when a track to a rap song hit the internet on Friday (May 11).
The tennis pro has apparently been working on spitting lyrics for some time, and recorded a few songs last year at a studio owned by Baltimore Ravens lineman Bryant McKinnie.
The rap starts out with Serena saying, "I ball hard no tennis rackin', I can see these haters through my Gucci glasses," and although the entire rap is about tennis and her flashy lifestyle, the beat is surprisingly catchy.

Didn't see this one coming. Carrie Underwood duets with Jimmy Kimmel on "Before You Freak," a follow-up of sorts to the cutie's hit "Before He Cheats."
The message: Check the plates before you smash a dude's truck. Some of them sure do look alike, especially in crowded parking lots. At night. Tipsy.
In the clip, Kimmel, proudly sporting a hot fanny pack, is seen leaving a karaoke bar and heading to his truck, only to find Carrie annihilating his ride.

Sarah Tressler, Houston Chronicle Reporter, Fired For Moonlighting as Stripper
Sarah Tressler, a 30-year-old reporter who was fired by the Houston Chronicle because of her second job as a stripper, has filed a formal complaint against her former newspaper employer, alleging sex discrimination.
Tressler was working as a society and general assignment reporter for the Chronicle and writing an anonymous blog entitled "Diary of an Angry Stripper" when another paper, the Houston Press, revealed her part-time profession.
She said the major newspaper fired her "because of a claim that I did not disclose on my employment application that I worked as an exotic dancer."

"I feel that women should not be denied other employment because they have worked as an exotic dancer," said Tressler, in response to her dismissal.
Tressler has hired high-profile attorney Gloria Allred and filed a charge of gender discrimination with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Allred said Tressler was stripping as an independent contractor, not an employee, so she had no reason to list exotic dancing on her job application.
"Most exotic dancers are female, and therefore terminating an employee because they had previously been an exotic dancer would have an adverse impact on women, since it is a female dominated occupation," Allred said.
One Direction is preparing its fans for next year's North American tour.
The British boy band has released a new live concert video of members belting out the track "More Than This." It's off the group's upcoming DVD, Up All Night: The Live Tour, which hits stores everywhere on May 29.

A short time later, Brown unfollowed Rihanna.
