Russell Brand: Katy Perry is a Beautiful Human Being
Opening up about his divorce, Russell Brand sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to talk about what happened between him and Katy Perry for Thursday's "Ellen DeGeneres Show".
The comedian admitted he still cares for his pop star ex-wife telling the host “I love her as a human being, but sometimes when you’re in a relationship, I suppose it doesn’t work out, does it? But that doesn’t mean I regret it or anything.”
Brand, who filed for divorce from Katy in December, revealed, "You can't absolutely make everything the way you want it to be in life. Sometimes things are just different and then you just have to try and move with that and try and remain in contact with what is beautiful about yourself and with each other."
Although the 36-year-old still cares for Perry, he cut all ties with the singer by deciding to "un-follow" her on Twitter earlier this week, telling Ellen, “I was very happy to be married with her. She’s such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her.”
Russell was later joined by YouTube sensation Sophia Grace and Rosie who often appear on the show, and the three some chatted about being from Essex, England.
Brand seemed to yuck it up with the little girls cracking jokes and making them giggle and even said he would love to babysit them but admitted he would probably need Rosie’s help keeping Sophia Grace under control.
