BeyonceWhen Beyonce revelaed her pregnancy during a performance of "Love on Top" at the 2011 VMAs, she set a record on Twitter for the most tweets ever recorded for a single event, — a whopping 8,868 tweets per second. Always the diva, B knew exactly how she wanted to reveal her big news: "I put a lot of thought into how I wanted to unveil it," she told Harpers Bazaar. "I didn't want a crazy picture or gossip story to break the news, so I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump. I felt it was more powerful to see the love and enthusiasm as opposed to saying anything." Beyonce's bundle of joy is due in February 2012.
Jessica SimpsonRumors had been swirling for weeks that Jessica Simpson was expecting her first child with fiance Eric Johnson, but Jess had kept quiet despire her growing baby bump. She finally confirmed what we had all known for weeks when she tweeted a picture of herself in her Halloween costume with the punny line: "It's true. I am going to be a mummy."
Christina AguileraChristina Aguilera also stayed mum when pregnancy rumors swirled around her in late 2007. But luckily, Paris Hilton was around to spill the news during an appearance with Aguilera at the LAX Nightclub in the Luxor. "Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world. You're gorgeous," Hilton announced to the crowded club. With the cat out of the bag, Aguilera decided to bared her pregnant belly for the January 2008 cover of Marie Claire.
PinkPink revealed that she was pregnant on Ellen. “I didn't want to talk about it because I was just really nervous and I have had a miscarriage before but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you,” Pink told Degeneres. The singer also spilled the news that she was expecting a girl: “My mom has always wished me a daughter just like me,” she joked. “I'm terrified one of us will go to jail.” So far baby Willow seems like a little angel.
Jennifer LopezUnsurprisingly, J Lo dropped her big baby news during a concert with hubby Marc Anthony. "We didn't want to say anything before, because we didn't want to take away from the tour, but Marc and I are expecting," the singer told fans during the Miami stop of her El Cantante Tour. Lopez gave birth to twins Emme and Maximilian Muñiz, in February 2008. She has since parted ways with husband Marc Anthony.
Britney SpearsWhen it came time to choose who she would announce her second pregnancy to, Britney Spears chose none other than David Letterman. "Don't worry, Dave. It's not yours," Spears quipped when she visited The Late Show with David Letterman in May of 2006. After posing nude on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, Brit gave birth to her son Jayden James Federline that September. Two months later she filed for divorce from husband Kevin Federline.
Jessica AlbaWhile most celebrities are using Twitter for all of their oversharing purposes these days, Jessica Alba chose to use her Facebook page to share the news of her second pregnancy. "It's been a while since I've been on FB & I thought I'd drop by to let you all in on some exciting news>Honor is going to be a Big Sister! Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn't hear about it somewhere else." Alba also used Facebook to announce Haven Garner Warren's August 14 birth.
Mariah Carey Mariah Carey likes to act like she's the only woman who has ever given birth, so naturally she announced her pregnancy in a one on one Access Hollywood interview. "Yes, we are pregnant, this is true!" Carey and Nick Cannon told Billy Bush at their New York City apartment. "It's been a long journey. It's been tough, because I've been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy." Carey gave birth to fraternal twins Moroccan and Monroe in April of 2011.
